I've been interested in art and design for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I loved to draw, make my own crafts and projects, and change the font and application colors on our computer - which drove my color-blind father crazy! I took as many art classes as I could through high school, and was selected to participate in Virginia's Governor's School for art my junior year.

I completed my undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary, double majoring in Sociology and American Studies, and loved every minute of it. Working as a volunteer manager after graduation, I realized the ideal way of combining these two passions was through graphic design.

Ever since, I've been especially interested in information design, branding, typography, and visual communication in the nonprofit sector. To further my skills, I completed a Certificate in Graphic Design from the Corcoran College of Art and Design, which was instrumental in helping me translate my fine arts background into the digital design realm. I went on to complete a Master of Arts in Graphic Design from George Mason University, graduating with a perfect GPA.

I currently work as the Communications Director at Insight Memory Care Center in Fairfax. I work with a wonderful group of people, and have been fortunate to be able to use my skills to lead the organization through a rebranding and expansion. I also work as a freelance designer and particularly enjoy helping clients develop their own brand - whether through a new logo, marketing piece, or event materials!
